Over the past few years, we introduced a commercial line that’s purpose-built to meet the demands of air conditioned athletic spaces and common areas. The 12‐20 ft Element and 8‐10 ft Isis, members of the commercial fan line, employ ultra‐high torque prime movers and produce less than 40 dBA at maximum operating speed, making them ideal for use in sound sensitive areas. Due to their advanced onboard controls, Element and Isis do not generate any electrical ‘noise’ such as radio frequency interference (RFI) that affects electromagnetic equipment (e.g. computers, monitors). In contrast, the large distances between the variable frequency drive and motor on outdated HVLS fans can generate electrical noise.
