Being an Intern at Big Ass Fans is not your typical Intern experience. You don’t get coffee, make copies, fetch lunch or any other menial task. We put your fresh brain to work right away in all of the creative craziness that is Big Ass Fans Marketing. Sherrell, our newest Marketing Intern, submitted her thoughts on her first day at work. Thanks Sherrell, and  don’t let us scare you away!

Waking up this morning, many emotions were running through my mind about my first day at Big Ass Fans. Just the thought of the first day on the job brought much anxiety about meeting new people, learning key information about the company, and learning my way around this huge building. Those insecurities were pretty much gone after my first hour here at Big Ass Fans. Walking around the facility and seeing people waving and saying hello actually made me feel comfortable about this new journey. Knowing that there is always someone around to give guidance and allow me to learn was really important to me when I applied this internship.

I really look forward to taking on an active role as an intern in marketing versus making coffee or copies like most interns do at other companies. Having the opportunity to put to work the skills that I have learned as well as learning new ones is truly exciting for me. I know here at Big Ass Fans that I will truly be put to work and I love it.
