Fort Eustis

Hot, Humid Problem

Students at Ft. Eustis, home of the UnitedStates Army Aviation Logistics School, complained of the excessive heat and uncomfortable environment because it hindered their ability to learn and focus. Ft. Eustis needed an efficient air movement solution to improve occupant comfort throughout their 800,000 sq. ft. facility.

Smart Solution

Ft. Eustis installed six Powerfoil®X Plus fans and deployed numerous mobile AirGo fans in large open spaces throughout the facility. Big Ass Fans set the standard for moving massive amounts of air in large spaces while providing energy savings and occupant comfort year round.

Year-round Results

Powerfoil X Plus creates steady, consistent temperatures in large spaces keeping occupants comfortable year-round. In the winter, the fan speed is slowed to circulate the heat that collects at the ceiling level back to occupant level to minimize heating costs. During the summer, Powerfoil X Plus creates cooling breezes that make occupants feel 6-14 degrees cooler. The mobile AirGo provides cooling breezes anywhere on the base it’s needed, or where a ceiling fan can’t reach.
