Element is introduced to The International Interior Design Association’s Ohio/Kentucky Chapter

September 11, 2008
The Ohio/Kentucky Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) held a meeting on September 10 at the Big Ass Fans global headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky. IIDA members had the opportunity to earn CEU credit while learning about Kentucky interior design legislation and how to seek certification. Members were also treated to a tour of the Big Ass Fans facility and a sneak peek at the all new Element fan, which deserves a second look for interior designers wanting to make a bold statement in commercial spaces.

Big Ass Fans has long been a staple of industrial facilities such as warehouses and manufacturing plants. However, a need for a different kind of fan especially for the unique needs of commercial buildings was soon realized. The owners, architects and designers of shopping malls, churches, restaurants and office buildings started asking for a Big Ass Fan to reduce energy consumption and improve air circulation– and one that could be integrated seamlessly into their design. The engineers at Big Ass Fans worked for over three years to create a virtually silent, industrial-grade quality solution with all of the style and function needed in commercial spaces. Thus, Element was born.

Interior designers will love the many options that Element has to offer. Element features a hollow shaft for integration of additional functions such as lights, speakers, surveillance cameras and other electronic controls. This allows commercial operations to be clean, functional and streamlined. Designers can also customize Element in virtually any color to match the décor and mood of the space.
