In an effort to become Sacramento’s first LEED® certified restaurant, the newly opened Hot Italian is enlisting the services of The Big Ass Fan Company® of Lexington, Kentucky.
Restaurant owner Andrea Lepore recently installed a 12-foot diameter Element fan, perfect for a sustainability-focused construction project. Expertly engineered to utilize 10 patented airfoils and its immense size, not speed, Element silently moves large volumes of air, improving interior comfort. Element works in conjunction with HVAC systems to distribute conditioned air and reduce energy consumption. Lepore’s initial motivation for creating such an eco-friendly space lies in the atmosphere. “The environment is important to everyone, especially when you’re in a space to eat, drink and relax,” she says.
