My fan is not responding to the controller or responds intermittently.

Check the connection between the fan and the controller. On the Home screen, tap the menu icon > FAN MANAGEMENT > Fan Name > Diagnostics. Check the value under Connection Quality on the right side of the screen. If the quality is low, try the following:

  • Change the fan’s Modbus address. On the Home screen, tap the menu icon > FAN MANAGEMENT > Fan Name > Fan Settings. Next to Modbus Address, tap CHANGE. Enter a new address between 1 and 247, and then tap ENTER.
  • Turn on the controller’s fourth DIP switch. Remove the controller from the mounting bracket and locate the four DIP switches near the bottom right corner of the back of the controller. Set the fourth DIP switch from the left to the ON position by pushing it inward. Refer to the illustration.
  • If you connected multiple fans, you may need to install an end-of-line termination resistor. You can also install a resistor and splitter for end-of-line termination on a single-fan installation. Contact Customer Service for more information.
