Amazon Alexa: Alexa recognizes my voice command, but asks me to clarify which fan I want to control.

This typically means there are two entries for one fan in Alexa’s database, or that two separate fans have the same name in the Big Ass Fans app (e.g. you may have named two fans “Bedroom” in the Big Ass Fans app).

To verify a fan name, open the Big Ass Fans app and verify that the correct fans are displayed with unique names.

To rename a fan:

  1. Open the Big Ass Fans app.
  2. Select the fan you want to rename.
  3. Tapat the bottom of the screen and navigate to the More tab.
  4. Tap the Name field and rename the fan.

To remove a fan from your Big Ass Fans account:

  1. In the Big Ass Fans app, tap , and then tap your name/email address at the top of the menu.
  2. Tap Manage Products. Under the My Products heading, select the fan you want to remove from your Big Ass Fans account.
  3. Tap Remove From Account to disconnect the fan from your account.
This applies to these products: es6 i6
